I Rarely Post Lyrics…

…but I have to post these. They are from a track from the new Ozzy album. He may be pushing 60, any there are plenty of you out there that think he is close to senile. I think these words are fitting for the time in which we live.

Bombs exploding, and tears are flowing, chasing rockets and gasping for air
You can call it justice or retribution, yet the reasons are never clear
Freedom is just man’s invention and a soldier is just a slave
Self inflicted, so addicted, bad habits are hard to break

I’m alive
Watching better turn to worse
One more time
Try to civilize the universe

Without the righteous, without the faithful, we would never accept the obscene
A false confession, a priest’s obsession gives the demon a light to be seen
Burn the witch and hang deserters, there’s only one choice to be made
We’re thought restricted, and herd afflicted, the truth is so hard to take

I’m alive
Watching better turn to worse
One more time
Try to civilize the universe

The righteous and the faithful
Give the deaf man to the blind
The world full of confusion
From a disease of the mind

I’m alive
Watching better turn to worse
One more time
Try to civilize the universe
I’m alive
Watching better turn to worse
One more time
Try to civilize the universe
Try to civilize the universe

Did YOU Come To My Party?

I would like to thank all of you that read this. I think there are 3 or 4 of you now. For coming to Caitlyn’s first birthday. It seemed a good time was had by most. Major haul of presents for the peanut.

I had a good time seeing my family and friends. My abdomen still hurts a little after the belly flops and front flips into the pool on Sunday. The trip home was uneventful, and we seem to be back to normal here in North Carolina. Next big hurdles will be Vacation on Hilton Head and moving out of Cary after that. Should prove to be interesting!

Thanks for tuning in!

Bloggin From The Road…

We are in Pennsylvania. The party was great, but I will report more on it later. Had the privilege of hanging out with my good friend John and his girl Tosha. We went to see Spiderman 3. There was a good 15 to 30 minutes in the middle of the movie that totally ruin it’s status as a killer flick. The special effects were killer, the story, minus the middle was great. I don’t know how I feel totally about it. It will take a while to digest it.

The coolest thing about the trip were the 3D movie “posters” in the lobby. One for the Simpsons Movie and the other the Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Click on the thumbs for a larger not so professional, taken with a 1.3mp Motorola Razr phone pictures.

Thanks for stopping by.

I’m Geeking Over A Guitar!!

Anyone that knows me well, knows that Steve Vai is my favorite guitar player. He is on tour on his own this summer. The closest he is coming to me is Alexandria, VA. That’s only about 5 hours from here. I would love to see him in person, but there isn’t a soul around that would want to go with me.

Pictured to the left is, the 20th Anniversary Edition of Vai’s signature guitar the Ibanez Jem.

The body is completely clear, so, that means it must sustain like mad.

I don’t know the price, nor do I want to. It would look bitchin’ hanging on the wall though.

My Favorite Steve Vai Songs:

  • Erotic Nightmares
  • Juice
  • Blood and Glory
  • Whispering a Prayer
  • Sisters

The above has been lifted from one of my old Yahoo! 360 blogs. It may be time to re-list my Top 5 Guitar players. Some have changed. So. Look for that in the coming weeks.

Thanks for hanging out!

Back to iPod land. It’s nice being able to turn the outside world off once and a while.
