I Was All Rah Rah And Junk.

Time for a tuesday blog.

I have been forgetting to tell the story about the ladies and the fish in the Mebane Walmart parking lot. Last Saturday evening I stopped at Walmart to get some items to go along with dinner. After talking to some friends that were shopping there too I paid for my stuff and walked out. As I approached my car I heard the sound of shattering glass. I rounded into the row that my car was in and there are 2 women on their hands and knees in the dark looking for the Betta fish that one of them just dropped the bowl of. As they were looking for the fish one of them said “Boy am I glad I kept the receipt”. The other returned with an inquisitive “Why?”. And the response given was “If we find it I am going to exchange it for a different fish.”. I laughed as I got into the car. Then I wondered if there is a special return policy for living things purchased at Walmart. Driving off I decided it was best to never know the answer to the question.

Went with a friend to see Quantum of Solace last night. I don’t think dad has seen it so I won’t give anything away. One of the things I love about the Daniel Craig version of Bond is the control he brings to the role. Cold. Calculating. The other thing I like about the current iteration is the strong love/ hate between Bond and M. Quantum of Solace gets 4 out of 5 from me. Not the best Bond. But it isn’t the worst either.

I promised a scathing review of the new Guns N Roses album. Well here goes. I listened to 1.5 min of the 1st track then deleted it, and the others. I would sooner listen to Carl Lewis butcher the National Anthem again than to attempt to sit through the new GnR. Yes. It really is that bad!

Well. That’s about it. I don’t foresee my blogging again before hell weekend. So, the next time I blog I should be a little less sane and another year older!

Later y’all!

Well, it’s a start of another week. Went to dinner @ a friends house last night. Had a good time. Got a little drunk. It was nice to unwind.

I have been playing Call of Duty: World at War. It is the next installment in the CoD series. Set in the WWII era, it is interesting running around with the weapons of that era. It’s also nice to be able to continue to play the game with my friends, all but 2 or 3 have moved to it from CoD 4.

I haven’t picked up any new music lately, so I am still listening to Black Stone Cherry as well as the Black Crowes.

We are getting closer to “Black Friday”. My streak of working the closing shift that day continues with a 1pm to 11pm shift. Should be interesting to see what happens that day with the way the economy the way it is. I have no predictions. I do hope that it is busy enough for the 10 hours to go by rather quickly. Rest assured, I will be letting you all know how it went.

We are close to my birthday, and for the 1st time ever, I am not being greedy about what I want. In fact, CoD:WaW was one of my gifts. There are only a few things out there that I want. I would like to have Guitar Hero World Tour with the new guitar controller. I would also like to have my Apple Mobile Me account renewed. That way I continue to put pictures in the gallery, and have the email addresses. I would also like to have the 3rd season of Battlestar Galactica on DVD. Maybe some iTunes cash. I remember the days of the list being much much longer. I was a greedy little bastard. 😉

Sarah just got home, so I am going to sign off. I will shout at you laters!

What It Is I Can’t Say!

I hate having a good think to talk about but not being able to say anything about it for fear of reprisal. I know it doesn’t sound like me, but as I don’t know all who tune in here I can’t let the cat out of the bag until things are certain, and in my favor. So, the world may never know.

I started watching Firefly. I know I’m 6 years behind. I am actually enjoying it. I guess it is possible to enjoy some of the creations of a person you can’t stand.

Saw The Black Crowes on Saturday. Excellent show! Chris Robinson was a lot less high this time and therefore they were on fire! Interesting side note, Chris was wearing the same pants he was wearing the last time I saw them live. Anywho, they had 2 jam sessions in the show both well over 10 mins each! They did not play Hard To Handle. They did cover Bob Dylans “Girl From The North Country”. If you are presented with a cahance to see them live, give it no thought, just go. You’ll thank me.

We are approaching the worst time of the year for retail employees. The mad Xmas rush. Every year I hope I make it out intact. And every year I hope it’s my last time in the trenches. Oh well.

New Call of Duty this week. So, that’s how I will be venting. Can’t wait.

Later all. Thanks for reading.

Fucking Amazing!

Pardon my language. But it is true! Make your shit go to 11 for this one!

Here we are. I have a headache.

Today decides who takes the idiots place in the palace. I don’t vote. There are various reasons why. The most important being that I don’t agree with the electoral college system. Another reason being, that neither of the canadates have proven to me that they deserve my vote. McCain is a smear campaiging asshole. I don’t dislike Obama, and I do feel he would be the lesser of the 2 evils, he just hasn’t proven to me that he can be the most powerful man in the world. He is an amazing speaker, and a very powerful motivator as a result. That’s it in a nutshell. I am just looking forward to not having to see the ads on TV. I’m sick of the attacking that’s going on. Remember folks these are the people you are trusting to make decisions for you, to make your life better. It has turned into grade school name calling. It makes me tired.

Am I wrong for thinking this way? Am I wrong for nor voting? Possibly. But that’s what makes this country great. I have the freedom to not do what Kayne and Puffy told me to do.

That’s it this time. Later.
