The Playlist.

I took some time off from the Movie Marathon to scour my iTunes collection for songs I had that reminded me of my Dad.  I took a few suggestions from friends and family, but this is mainly a list of songs that he pointed me toward, and some that I pointed him to.  It’s a good thing I have an iPod.  This list is far too long for CDs.  I thought about splitting this list up over a few entries, then decided it would work just fine as a single big list.

Enjoy.  Please feel free to comment and add your own!

  1. Big Ten Inch Record – Aerosmith
  2. Man In The Box -Alice In Chains
  3. Set It Off – Audioslave
  4. Remedy – The Black Crowes
  5. Bored To Tears – Black Label Society
  6. Tired Of The Rain – Black Stone Cherry
  7. Everything Zen – Bush
  8. Copenhagen Girl – The Buzz Poets
  9. Surrender – Cheap Trick
  10. Shine – Collective Soul Continue reading

Late Night.

Well, it’s 0004 Eastern, I am done with the XBOX for the night and I figured I would take some time to post here.  The past few days have been unbearable.  The work situation has only exacerbated my down mood.  I am at a point right now that I don’t really want to think, or make decisions.  After getting back to NC I felt like I was in the eye of the storm, calm, learning to deal with the loss, but I knew, in typical Fritz fashion that the other shoe would drop eventually.  Now I am out of the eye and into the 2nd part half of the storm.  I don’t know how much more bullshit I can handle before I completely shut off.

I am taking it one day at a time, but it seems there is something out there fanning the flames of despair.  I don’t mean to sound melodramatic.

The person I relied on the most for advice in situations like this is gone.  I guess that is where the problem in all of this comes from.

Tomorrow is another day.  I keep telling myself that, but it doesn’t seem to work.

I guess it is time for bed.  Maybe tomorrow will be better than today. I make no promises though.

Goodnight. Thanks for reading, and thanks for the support.

Jaymz’ Music Video Tuesday!

My Favorite BLS Song for you all to enjoy!

Without getting into all the details I am just posting this to inform readers that I have left Best Buy.  If you want all the details feel free to email me and I will give you the scoop.  Let’s just say that it was very ugly and under the worst possible circumstances.

If the new mangers are meant to be there to stir things up and make waves  and changes then job well done.  I didn’t know that calling employees out about how they are doing their job so that others can plainly hear is how things are done.  Respect is earned not granted to you.  Think about that the next time you decide to swing your manager “junk” around so others can see it.  It will be interesting to see whether the store where I built great friendships, and relationships with customers and employees alike survives someone that seems to act the opposite of how a model Best Buy employee is supposed to.  I don’t claim to be a model employee, but I did treat the people that respected me the same way.

Oh well, they don’t get to benefit from my expertise anymore.

I feel strangely liberated.  Now to find another job in retail. Stay tuned to find out whats going on!

Thanks for reading.

The List Of Movies For The “Marathon”.

I had an idea to have a movie marathon in honor of my father.  Here are the 10 movies I have chosen to watch because he and I loved them.

These are in no particular order.

  1. The Last Samurai
  2. Blade Runner
  3. Armageddon
  4. High Fidelity
  5. Snatch
  6. The Crow
  7. Enter The Dragon
  8. Bullitt
  9. The Natural
  10. The Big Lebowski

I may increase the list to include, Bull Durham, and Field of Dreams.

F**k Major League Baseball

Jesus Christ MLB! WTF? I’m not saying the Minors don’t have the same problems with performace enhancing drugs, but the MLB needs to get it’s shit together. Pete Rose is banned for life due to gambling, but the assholes that are doing more to destroy the game I love get a slap on the wrist and crucified in the court of public opinion. Doesn’t seem fair. Doesn’t seem right.

That is all.

Everyone that reads this blog is aware of the events of this past Monday.

I want to thank each and every one of you that posted on my Facebook wall along with Dad’s, Emily’s.

I am still in a major daze and I wanted to post this before I forget.

It’s nice to know he was as major a force in all your lives as he was in mine. I’m sure once my fog clears I will have better more thought out things to say.
