I Got Nothing…

Greetings all.  It has been a while since I have posted, my goal of weekly posts has been unkept and I apologize.

We are about 2 months and some change from the annual trip to Hilton Head Island.  I am excited, but at the same time upset. This is the first visit to the place my father loved more than any other on earth. He LIVED to go to Hilton Head.  We had been to other beaches for other vacations, but dad thought, as most in my immediate family do, that Hilton Head was/is paradise.  It’s going to be really bittersweet to drive over the bridge in his car, in his seat. Smelling the salty sea air through his window.

I can’t wait to get Caitlyn there, another year older, she will want to spend time at the pool, I hope.

On the video game front, I have been playing Grand Theft Auto IV. I know, I’m a little behind, but let me tell you why.  I had it from Gamefly a couple weeks after it came out, but I couldn’t play it during the day because of the glare on my old TV made it impossible! Now with the HD LCD I got it back from GameFly and I am making my way through it. So much so that I bought it from GF. The story is good, and it isn’t crazy hard like the rest of the GTA games have been for me.

That’s it. That’s all. Bye for now!

Stuff…

I’m coming to you live from my iPod Touch.

Another visit from the Easter Bunny has come and gone leaving Caitlyn some toys and books in it’s wake. We had the first annual Easter Pizza made by my sister. It was fantastic. We then sat around in our glut and played Peggle on the Xbox. Sam is the Peggle Rain Man. It’s nuts watching him play.

I’m still getting used to the ropes at the Geek Squad. The amount of procedure to learn/remember is daunting when you are only there 3 days a week. I’m sure I will get the hang of it soon. The guys I work with make the job easy and the learning a piece of cake.

We are coming up on Caitlyns 3rd birthday. Man. Time flies.

I have been spending my free time playing Guitar Hero World Tour and Guitar Hero Metallca as well as Call of Duty on the Xbox.

Soon my time will be taken up with things involving the start of a business. Along with two of my Geek Squad co-workers I’m starting a multimedia company focusing on web design. Should be fun to try to take a bite of the golden apple and be my own boss. Details on this as they progress.

I’m going to sign off now. I think it’s time for a shower. Who knows…

I Was All Rah Rah And Junk.

Time for a tuesday blog.

I have been forgetting to tell the story about the ladies and the fish in the Mebane Walmart parking lot. Last Saturday evening I stopped at Walmart to get some items to go along with dinner. After talking to some friends that were shopping there too I paid for my stuff and walked out. As I approached my car I heard the sound of shattering glass. I rounded into the row that my car was in and there are 2 women on their hands and knees in the dark looking for the Betta fish that one of them just dropped the bowl of. As they were looking for the fish one of them said “Boy am I glad I kept the receipt”. The other returned with an inquisitive “Why?”. And the response given was “If we find it I am going to exchange it for a different fish.”. I laughed as I got into the car. Then I wondered if there is a special return policy for living things purchased at Walmart. Driving off I decided it was best to never know the answer to the question.

Went with a friend to see Quantum of Solace last night. I don’t think dad has seen it so I won’t give anything away. One of the things I love about the Daniel Craig version of Bond is the control he brings to the role. Cold. Calculating. The other thing I like about the current iteration is the strong love/ hate between Bond and M. Quantum of Solace gets 4 out of 5 from me. Not the best Bond. But it isn’t the worst either.

I promised a scathing review of the new Guns N Roses album. Well here goes. I listened to 1.5 min of the 1st track then deleted it, and the others. I would sooner listen to Carl Lewis butcher the National Anthem again than to attempt to sit through the new GnR. Yes. It really is that bad!

Well. That’s about it. I don’t foresee my blogging again before hell weekend. So, the next time I blog I should be a little less sane and another year older!

Later y’all!

Weeeeee

Well, it’s a start of another week. Went to dinner @ a friends house last night. Had a good time. Got a little drunk. It was nice to unwind.

I have been playing Call of Duty: World at War. It is the next installment in the CoD series. Set in the WWII era, it is interesting running around with the weapons of that era. It’s also nice to be able to continue to play the game with my friends, all but 2 or 3 have moved to it from CoD 4.

I haven’t picked up any new music lately, so I am still listening to Black Stone Cherry as well as the Black Crowes.

We are getting closer to “Black Friday”. My streak of working the closing shift that day continues with a 1pm to 11pm shift. Should be interesting to see what happens that day with the way the economy the way it is. I have no predictions. I do hope that it is busy enough for the 10 hours to go by rather quickly. Rest assured, I will be letting you all know how it went.

We are close to my birthday, and for the 1st time ever, I am not being greedy about what I want. In fact, CoD:WaW was one of my gifts. There are only a few things out there that I want. I would like to have Guitar Hero World Tour with the new guitar controller. I would also like to have my Apple Mobile Me account renewed. That way I continue to put pictures in the gallery, and have the email addresses. I would also like to have the 3rd season of Battlestar Galactica on DVD. Maybe some iTunes cash. I remember the days of the list being much much longer. I was a greedy little bastard. 😉

Sarah just got home, so I am going to sign off. I will shout at you laters!
