“Always do whatever’s next”

George Carlin
1937 – 2008

I know I am a day late. Yesterday was a sad day for me.

No Crash Davis Sightings…

It was a beautiful night last night. It was another Best Buy Family Night @ the DBAP. Here are some pics from the Canon Rebel XSI I used last night. Taken with a 70-300mm Ultrasonic IS lens. I love having nifty toys to play with. Before you ask, no the bull mascot did not get hit by a pitch. 🙂

I will have more pics up in a web gallery soon. I will edit this post with the address!

Sprint Hugs The Nut…

That right there is the new 3G iPhone. Now that we know that Sprint will charge us $200 for us to drop my line, it means I will not be getting one.

Once these carriers get you, they have you for a while. I am getting a new phone, since the Treo 650 I have currently is going to pieces right before my eyes.

It looks like it will be about a year before I get to join the iPhone bandwagon.

Today is my 3 year wedding anniversary. I can’t believe we have been married this long. Just like I can’t believe that this past February marked that Sarah and I have been together for 11 years. Where has the time gone?

Tomorrow I get to work my 3rd Durham Bulls game of the season. I will be carrying a Canon Rebel XSi and I will be snapping away with all its 12mp goodness. The last round of Durham Bulls pictures were taken with a Nikon D40 @ 6.1mp. So needless to say, I am kinda excited to go to work tomorrow. Look for a post on Friday with a few shots in it from the game.

Thanks for stopping by…

That is all.

That right there is the new 3G iPhone. This means I will be doing something I said I would never do. I am going back to AT&T and I am going to get one.

The only hard part will be the wait. July 11th is the launch day, and I will be damned if I am going to line up and wait for one. They didn’t sell out on the first day with the first gen phone, and I don’t think they will sell out of these. Apple tends to do the opposite of what Nintendo seems to be doing with the Wii. Nintendo is short producing on purpose, I will be you dollars to donuts that Apple has been making these for a couple of months now. That ensures that there will be plenty of them to go around at launch time.

This phone promises to be spectacular. The numbers that are claimed by Apple in terms of battery and performance are most impressive.

Once I get my mitts on one I will be sure to bore all of you with tales of it’s coolness. But I also promise not to rub in the fact that I am slightly cooler than you by having one. HA!

That over there is the cover art for the new Nine Inch Nails album The Slip. This is the album that is currently in rotation on my iPod. The best part, it was free, legally downloaded for free. Trent Reznor put the album out at no charge in several different formats through his website. The fact that it is free doesn’t make it a great album, the fact that the songs are great make it a great album. Even Dad got into it a little.

I think it is pretty cool that he put this out there for free. He is able to do that because he doesn’t have a record company to answer to.

The songs Discipline and 1,000,000 are great tracks, but Dad is right, they do tend to sound alike after a while. But when put into a random rotation with some other tunes they tend to grate on you a little less. This is turning out to be a summer of music from my favorite bands! Nine Inch Nails, The Offspring, Weezer, Disturbed all have new albums out. I have a lot of new music to listen to. Gonna be a loud vacation on Hilton Head this year!

Thanks for tuning in to what has to be my most lengthy blog entry ever. I’m out!

Summer. Bah Humbug.

This is for Tommy and his need for summer.

It has been 100 degrees or close to it for about a week now. The A/C is busted in my leather seated car. I don’t get to wear shorts at work.

Summer. DAMN its hot down here!

Durham Bulls. I Was There To Work… NOW WITH LINKEY GOODNESS!

Every Thursday night home game @ the Durham Bulls Athletic Park is Best Buy family night. Hot Dogs and Fries are a dollar each, and one lucky family of 4 gets their seats upgraded to right behind home plate.

This is the 2nd of these events I have had the pleasure of working, tonight I was there solely to take pictures. Everyone at work knows how much I love to take pictures, so they let me use a nice DSLR and a nice zoom lens to capture the goings on at the park tonight.

Here are a sample of some of the pics I took tonight. I decided not to include the one of the thermometer that read the temp on the field as being 102. It was damn hot there tonight!

On a less positive note, I was looked over for the Supervisor spot at work. Feeling a little less upset that I was 6 hours ago.

***UPDATE***

No, Not Yet…

Me – Caitlyn, are you eating your breakfast?

Her – No, not yet.

Me – Caitlyn, are you ready for a nap?

Her – Not, not yet.

This next one is my personal favorite.

Me (to her mother) – I think it is time for Bed.

Her – No, it’s only clock daddy.

Nothing like a 2 year old dictating how things are going to roll.

Since I am dealing with the female of the species, I can pretty much bank on the fact that it’s not because she is 2 that she is dictating how things are going to roll. I pretty much have the rest of my time parenting her with her dictating how things are going to roll.
